Slacker - The Music

It'll Be Alright When It's Washed

This phrase was made famous by Denny's barber shop on Stanley Road in Liverpool. The album cover was shot by Julie Currie with the band outside Denny's, and the Slacker graffiti added later.

The album was written and recorded by the band, all ten songs were Slacker originals.

Most of the album, including all the drums was recorded at Crash Studios Liverpool. Additional recording happened at Ian and Paddy's house in Rock Ferry and Harry's house in Chester.

A few people made guest appearances on the album.

Julie Currie and Paula Currie sang backing vocals on "Valencia"

Cockney Rob did the famous "Shut it you Northern Monkeys!" shout at the end of "Never", and may have played some guitar on the coda of that song.

Mike Doyle wrote some of the words to "The Years to Come". We can't remember what lines were his and what were Paddy's at this point.
